Details
The Grapefruit strain is Sativa dominant with a 75/25 Sativa to Indica ratio. It was created by crossing Cinderella 99 with a grapefruit-flavored Sativa. The end result is a potent and citrusy-sweet tasting strain that brings on a very cerebral, heady buzz that's focused, creative, and fun. It also has some subtle relaxing effects on the body, which can be a nice perk.
Effects
With THC levels averaging 16 to 18% and maxing out at around 20%, the buzz from smoking Grapefruit is magically intense. It's the perfect kind of wake-and-bake strain when you have lots to do and want to stay focused through it all. Besides focus, the buzz can become talkative, euphoric, and increase your creativity. The smoke has a very cerebral nature because of its cannabinoid and terpene profiles and is very heady and visual. Also, it can help medical users with migraines, stress, PTSD, and depression.
Growing
The grapefruit strain is a moderate to difficult strain to cultivate, which is why we recommend it for intermediate or advanced growers. Given its strong Sativa genetics, it takes on many of the characteristics of a Sativa plant. For one, it reaches tall heights of 180cm-220 cm and has a long flowering cycle. When growing outdoors, she prefers a warm climate with lots of sun, similar to a tropical region. An outdoor harvest occurs around the middle of October, and when growing indoors the flowering cycle takes 12 to 14 weeks. Yields are moderate and fall somewhere between 300-400gr/m².
Appearance & Aroma
When Grapefruit is close to maturity she shows off light green colored colas that are large in size and fairly dense. When you look up close, the buds have multiple shades of light to medium green colors and burnt orange pistols.
This strain has a tart and bitter citrus aroma, to perfectly match its name. It has terpenes that give it notes of berry fruit, but those become more apparent during the smoke.
