Coming in hot from the San Fran Bay Area, the "Runtz Crew" (or, more specifically, the "Cookie Fam" of growers) birthed the original Runtz strain by carefully breeding together Zkittlez and Gelato. The result was a slightly Indica hybrid known for its sweet and fruity flavors, as well as its uplifting and calming effects.

As for White Runtz, it's a cross between the original Runtz strain that was then back bred with Gelato and Zkittlez. In the pursuit of genetic stability, one particular pheno emerged that offered a slightly different terpene profile but retained the original's potency and added a nice kick of relaxation to the mix.

White Runtz, when grown well, fully flushed, dried over a period of 7 to 10 days, and then left to cure for at least a month, smokes like a pure dream. Full-bodied, sweet, and fruity flavors coat your mouth and nose on the inhale, with subtle notes of pine and spice lingering on the exhale.

The high starts out more on the Sativa side of the scales, which might come as a surprise since she's an Indica-dominant. The first 10 to 15 minutes can be quite a rush, with waves of happiness, excitement and energy washing over you.

But just as quickly as the Sativa side of things start, it also slowly fades away to be replaced by a slightly heavier high. Within 30 minutes or so, you'll be side-eyeing the fridge and the couch in equal measures, battling both thoughts but knowing that the time has come for food and chill. We recommend giving in to these thoughts, as the temptation to indulge will only grow. Grab a bowl of nachos, chuck on Step Brothers or Superbad (for the millionth time) and get ready for a good old giggle.

How to grow White Runtz strain

The Indica dominance shines through in both structure and preferred climate with White Runtz.

Is she easy to grow?

She sure is, as long as you have the time to give to her, and the dedication to stay on top of humidity and temp levels.

Climate-wise, White Runtz wants things a little cooler than most. Keep your temps between 70°F and 75°F during the day, dropping to around ~60°F at night. The strain is relatively humidity tolerant, but she'll reward you for keeping things between 45% and 50% RH.

We heavily recommend that you start training your White Runtz crop as soon as humanly possible. When left to her own devices, she is going to stay squat, with most of the growth focused on the main stalk. Training will help her to spread out, develop more bud sites and grow into a better shape for light penetration.

Top her at least twice (up to four times if you have the space). Once topped, start spreading out the canopy as soon as possible using a combination of Low-Stress Training and Scrogging, while also super cropping. Once the flowers start to form, make sure you keep on top of light pruning.
