When we first got our grubby little paws on Super Boof, we were more than a little excited. After taking out both the first place in the High Times Medical Cup, Hybrid Flower category and third place in the Ice Water Hash category at the Emerald Cannabis Cup (both in 2022), we thought it was about time to see what the fuss was about.

And let us preface the rest of this breakdown with - IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

After a slightly longer than usual curing wait (we wanted to make sure we were smoking and vaping the best Super Boof out there), we broke out a few nugs and threw them straight into the grinder. From the very first twist, the stank that filled the room was a big surprise.

And the surprises didn't end there. The creamy, thick, but never-biting smoke was exactly what we had hoped for. Delicious to the last hit, Super Boof took us on a ride that started with a buzz behind the eyes before erupting into a full-body tingle and settling nicely in our limbs.

The next day we decided to put about half a gram into our vape to see how things went, and how they differed.

When vaporized, the terpene profile of Super Boof is truly something to savor. Starting out at around 172C, the first noticeable flavor is a sharp, fruity, overwhelmingly berry bang. As the temperatures rose, so did the taste of skunky diesel mixed with a zesty lime tang.

And then... the haze hit. More of a creeper when vaped than smoked (as are most strains), it took maybe 10 minutes for the show to really get underway. But when it did, oh boy. Half a gram might've been a little overzealous...

We were high, high, high—not for two hours or even three. It took a good five hours for the buzz to level out, and even then, there was a solid afterglow.

What does Super Boof taste like?

With parent strains of Tropicana Cookies and Black Cherry Punch, you know that Super Boof is going to be a Michelin star worthy strain. Extremely well balanced, it starts out full of blackberries and sour cherries with gorgeous hints of vanilla and rounded out perfectly with a light dusting of diesel.

How does Super Boof make you feel?

With a THC percentage hovering around the 30% mark, expect a heavy-hitting, full-bodied high that will have you feeling relaxed and euphoric. The initial buzz behind the eyes and heady rush lasts about 20 or so minutes but is soon followed by a wave of calmness that was perfectly timed. Anxiety melted away, replaced by a sense of ease that allowed us to really appreciate the following three hours of stoned delight.

How to grow Super Boof strain

Super Boof definitely prefers a slightly warmer, drier growing room (or outdoor setting). If you can get everything dialed in, especially for the last 3 weeks of veg and the first few of flower, you are going to see explosive results.

We kept her in her own tent, under a 600W HPS until she looked ready for a little more beef, and then moved her up to 1000W for the rest of the flowering period (around 2 weeks after we switched to flowering). Temps were kept steady at around 78°F with a humidity level of 50% until the last two weeks before harvest, when we dropped them to 72°F and 40% humidity.

If you are growing outdoors, you will want to make sure she is fully protected from any rain. The dense buds do not take kindly to being wet.

This is a strain that will take very kindly to a bit of HST. We topped here twice (at the third node first) and went a little ham with the super cropping. She handled that like a pro and filled out the ScrOG screen with ease.

Super Boof sits between the 28% to 30% THC region, depending on the pheno and how she is grown. If you are looking to maximize cannabinoid output, we recommend running her indoors and using the best nutrients you can find. She can do really well in an organic soil mix also, but indoors hydroponics is key if you want to push her to the limit.

Is Super Boof a good strain for beginner growers?

Absolutely. We always like to recommend strains that can handle a bit of punishment (environmental stress, insect issues, etc.) for beginners. Super Boof is a hardy plant that can tolerate a little more than most strains and still produce ridiculous quality buds.

How long does it take for Super Boof to flower?

Again, that depends on a few factors, but as a general rule of thumb, expect to harvest your Super Boof plants around 8 to 10 weeks after the flowering period begins.
