STRAIN TRAITS
Details
Pineapple Kush Automatic was developed by breeding the original Pineapple Kush with a carefully selected Siberian ruderalis. The result is an indica-dominant strain with a decent sativa backbone. The original Pineapple Kush can trace its origins to California and is a descendant of the OG Kush and Pineapple families. It’s famed for its incomparable flavor and serene high - and those beloved characteristics are retained by Pineapple Kush Automatic.
This autoflowering strain succeeds in taking its parents’ best traits while being far easier to grow. Yields are not as large as the photoperiod variety but are still decent. Especially considering the speed and relative ease with which plants can be grown.
Effects
Pineapple Kush Automatic has a mid-range THC level of 16-19%. It may not be the strongest strain around, but it produces a delightful high that’s both cerebral and bodily. Though indica-dominant, it possesses enough sativa to induce a euphoric and emotionally uplifting headrush. This combines nicely with a feeling of inner tranquility and a soothing sense of physical numbness as its indica genetics come to the fore. The overriding sensation is mellow, with users soon experiencing a state of total relaxation. Munchies are common, and the buzz often transitions into couchlock.
Thanks to its sedative properties, Pineapple Kush Automatic can offer huge relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms. It’s often used to treat stress and disorders like anxiety and depression. And it’s highly effective for reducing nausea and inducing appetite.
Growing
The autoflowering nature of Pineapple Kush Automatic means this is an easy strain to grow. Without the need to worry about light cycles, growers can concentrate on the basics over a short growing period. Plants flower in just 8-10 weeks if grown indoors, which is a considerable improvement on the photoperiod variety. This strain isn’t fussy and can be grown using whichever method you choose, but it will thrive if you use a hydroponic setup.
Grown outside, Pineapple Kush Automatic can be harvested in July and September and is reasonably resistant to cold temperatures. Short plants usually grow to between 60-100cm tall and yield around 200-300g/m². This isn’t the largest yield, but it’s a good return for such compact plants.
Appearance & Aroma
Despite its mixed lineage, Pineapple Kush Automatic grows in a way that’s typically indica. Short plants are bushy, with strong stems and thick leaves. Their compact nature makes this strain perfect for people with limited space or those who want to grow discretely.
Buds are dense, tightly packed, and slightly conical in appearance. Lime-green in color, they appear lighter due to a thick layer of white trichomes. Pineapple Kush Automatic is an extremely resinous strain, and this sticky coating is its most prominent physical trait. Rust-colored pistils poke through sporadically, adding to its visual appeal.
Unsurprisingly, plants produce a sweet fragrance. Ripe pineapple is the dominant aroma, underscored by dank, musty notes that are a nod to its OG Kush heritage.

Tasting Notes
The aroma of Pineapple Kush Automatic is overwhelmingly sweet, but its depth goes beyond the clear notes of pineapple. Breaking open its buds releases the scent of caramelized sugar and baked goods, with the merest hint of diesel providing a subtle tang.
Pineapple is dominant in the flavor, though it is complemented by a slight sourness as you inhale. This is amplified on exhalation as nuttiness and notes of spice round off a truly delectable smoke.
