Initially developed on the West Coast, the pedigree of this strain is top-notch: a cross of Ghost OG and an original Skunk Haze makes a near-perfect blend. We developed this from a regular version to an all-feminized line maintaining all the original characteristics and ensuring that the stability was fully intact.

This strain really shows its Kush heritage, whilst still displaying a pleasing balance from its Haze lineage. The indica dominance is the main factor when you enjoy this Banana Kush, a deep body buzz kicks in from the very outset. It won't immediately knock you out though as the uplifting cerebral effect of the Skunk Haze ensures a euphoric upbeat feeling that keeps you energized. There is no doubt though, that this is a heavy-hitting body stone, great for pain management and relief from insomnia when used later in the evening. This is unsurprising when you see THC levels of 22%+.

As you would expect from an Indica dominant strain, it stays quite low initially, with a short distance between branches. The sugar leaves are, again, wide from the Indica genes, but they do have some input from the sativa side being vibrant light green in Vegetation. If you leave this strain to its own devices you will get a main stem supporting one major cola with some side branching. However, even basic training/cropping will mean the canopy will widen out, giving a more even distribution of larger branches. Each is smaller than if there was one main stem, but combined will more than make up for it. If you can give this plant a slightly longer veg time, you will definitely be rewarded with larger yields as she will thrive on the extra time. Another key point is that once past week 3 of veg you can really ramp up the nutrient regime without fear of overdoing it.

Banana Kush does exactly what you would expect. It smells of Bananas and the Classic Kush spice mixed all together in a very pleasing smoothie for the senses! Initially, the aroma throughout veg and early flower is nothing particularly extraordinary, but as the flowers develop size and the heavy coating of THC trichomes, she really begins to get a pungent banana scent that is unmistakable. If you brush the plants, even lightly, when watering or at harvest time you will really release the more spicy earthy flavors that come over in waves.
