Animal Mints Seeds Overview
Effects
Okay, so we mentioned that most Animal Mint seeds will grow into plants with plus 25% THC, but that's actually not the whole story. We have seen this cultivar top 32% THC, which puts her in a pretty rare category. Very few strains can make this claim with tests to back it up, and boy does she kick.
With a 70/30 dominance to the Indica side of the spectrum, the effects are quick-acting and heavier than most. A slightly surprising euphoria comes on first more reminiscent of a Sativa-dominant option, but the more classic Indica body buzz follows closely. A wave of tingly relaxation creeps up the legs and slowly takes over your whole being, bringing with it what can only be described as a deeply satisfying physical calm.
Medicinally, we recommend this strain for patients looking to ease the symptoms of arthritis, chronic pain, and insomnia.
How to grow Animal Mints seeds?
The Animal Mints strain is a pretty versatile little plant. Little is actually the wrong adjective here, as while she rarely grow above 1.5 meters (5 foot) in height, the yields can be somewhat ridiculous - in a good way.
Indoors you're looking at a possible yield potential of above 600gr/m² or over a pound per plant when sun grown. Animal Mints is highly resistant to pests and fungal issues thanks to her strong genetics and takes particularly well to some heavy stress training in the vegetative growth stage. We usually top (or fim) our Animal Mints ladies twice (sometimes once indoors, depending on the timing), and super cropping is also recommended. We like to defoliate around 30% of the larger fan leaves in the 2nd last week before flower production begins and then run a ScrOG net to keep the canopy even.
Animal Mints strain appearance and aroma
The bud formation here is dense, golf ball-sized colas with a thick dusting of unbelievably sticky trichomes. The amount of finger hash that comes during trimming is slightly obscene. The color palette is a mix of dark green and purple hues throughout, with a healthy splash of bright orange pistils.
The terpene profile is wide-ranging but is dominated by myrcene, pinene, and limonene. This combo gives off a refreshing minty sweetness, with hints of diesel and cookie dough that make the Animal Mints strain one of the more unique tasting options available right now.
MSNL Editors Verdict
Huge yields, surprisingly delicious to smoke, heavy effects that last for hours, and easy to grow both indoors and out. What more could you ask for?
We are pretty proud of this one, and can't wait to hear how you guys enjoy it!
